Portsmouth Match Preview
One Call Stadium
Mansfield Town host already promoted Portsmouth in a massive league 2 clash at the One Call Stadium.
A win for the Stags could jump them into a play off place with then just a trip to Crawley to come next weekend.
Portsmouth still have slight ambitions of lifting the League 2 title, but must rely on both Doncaster and Plymouth dropping points in their final two games.
There has been much talk about the crowd for the game, and Stags captain Krystian Pearce told the official Mansfield Town website "We`re going to need everyone behind us on Saturday and hopefully there'll be a big crowd there to cheer us on and hopefully get that three points we need.'
"They always talk about the '12th man' and obviously we`ve got that in the fans, so hopefully they`ll turn up and show their support.'
Mansfield Town Team News:
Looks like a clean bill of health for the Stags as they go into the final two games of the season.
There shouldn't be many changes, if any from the side that won at Stevenage last time out.
Player to watch: Stags Player to Watch:
We predicted Danny Rose last time out, and there is no reason to move onto any other player.
The Stags need goals, and a couple from Rose would go a long way to get the One Call Stadium bouncing all the way into the play offs.
Portsmouth Team News:
Eoin Doyle is out for the remainder of the season, as to is Noel Hunt.
In their win over Cambridge last time out Midfielder Stanley Aborah picked up a knock so could also miss the clash with the Stags.
Player to watch: Pompey Player Watch:
Gary Roberts will of course get a wonderful reception from the home fans, having played just over the M1 at our dearest rivals.
He will want to help anyone get one over Mansfield, so the fans have a part to play in making it known how we feel about him.
Match Facts & Stats
In the fixture down at Fratton Park earlier in the season, the Stags under the ownership of Adam Murray, decided to play with only 9 men for a proportion of the game and promptly were spanked 4-0.
The Stags do not have a good record against Portsmouth and have 1 win 6 draws and 3 defeats against the men in blue.
Lee Swabey will be the man in the middle and he will be assisted by Richard Wild and Anthony Moore.
Stags have to win, so we are going for a 2-1 home win with Danny Rose and Ben Whiteman scoring.
Only one game will count after this, and that will be the trip to Crawley next Saturday for a 17:30 kick off.
